Practice Closures

Please note that Crocus Medical Practice will be closed for essential clinical and staff training, between the hours of 13:30 - 17:30 on the following dates detailed below:

This closure is alongside the other practices within our Primary Care Network (North Uttlesford PCN - Crocus Medical Practice, The Gold Street Surgery, Newport Surgery and Thaxted Surgery).

If you need medical advice or assistance while the surgery is closed, please visit 111.nhs.uk or call 111 (which is free from any landline or mobile).

If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, then please dial 999.

We apologise for any inconvenience. 

When We Are Closed

If you require urgent medical assistance which is not life threatening but which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please ring NHS111 by dialling 111. 

A trained adviser will assess your call and redirect you to the most appropriate local services. This may involve sending your details to the out-of-hours service or advising you to contact a local pharmacy or to contact the surgery when we re-open. 

Calls to the NHS111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

If you have a life threatening medical emergency please call 999.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
