Great Chesterford Branch Closure Notice

Please note that our Great Chesterford Branch will be closed on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 22nd July 2026 - Closed from 1.00pm
  • Thursday 23rd July 2026 – Closed from 1:00pm
  • Friday 24th July 2026 – Closed all day
  • Wednesday 29th July 2026 - Closed from 1.00pm
  • Friday 31st July 2026 – Closed all day
  • Friday 7th August 2026 – Closed all day

Clinical and Staff Training

Please note that Crocus Medical Practice, both sites, will be closed for essential clinical and staff training, between the hours of 13:30 - 17:30 on the following dates detailed below:

This closure is alongside the other practices within our Primary Care Network (North Uttlesford PCN - Crocus Medical Practice, The Gold Street Surgery, Newport Surgery and Thaxted Surgery).

If you need medical advice or assistance while the surgery is closed, please visit 111.nhs.uk or call 111 (which is free from any landline or mobile).

If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, then please dial 999.

We apologise for any inconvenience. 

When We Are Closed

If you require urgent medical assistance which is not life threatening but which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please ring NHS111 by dialling 111. 

A trained adviser will assess your call and redirect you to the most appropriate local services. This may involve sending your details to the out-of-hours service or advising you to contact a local pharmacy or to contact the surgery when we re-open. 

Calls to the NHS111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

If you have a life threatening medical emergency please call 999.
